Pahalgam is one of the most beautiful places in Kashmir tourist destinations located in Southern Kashmir .

Mountain trials run northeast to Amarnath Cave temple. Aru Valley is home to many animals including Brown bear and Musk Deer. Lidder river runs through scenic Betab valley southeast of Tulyan Lake is flanked by mountains peaks and often frozen waters

 Things To Do 

Visit ARU Valley

Aru is located at a distance of 11 km from Pahalgam. Situated at an altitude of 2408 m, this place offers a magnificent view of the valley. Adventurous tourists can undertake a trek across Lidderwat extending up to the Kolahoi Glaciers. The placement of the site amid lush green grasslands makes it ideal for camping. Tourists can easily reach this place by walking down the valley. Further, adventure lovers can also take up a 3 day trek to Sonamarg with Aru as their base. Hiring a pony is also a suitable option.

Visit Betaab Valley

Betaab valley, originally called as Hajan Valley or Hagan Valley is situated at a distance of 15 km from Pahalgam in Anantnag district in India's union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The valley got its name from the Sunny Deol-Amrita Singh hit debut film Betaab.

Betaab valley is a gorgeous expanse by the Lidder river, offering panoramic views of the Himalayas.

River Rafting

The stretch for 2.5 km white water rafting Pahalgam ( lidder joy ride ) , 5 km White Water Rafting Pahalgam ( lidder long ride ) and 8 km White Water Rafting Pahalgam (extra long ride ) with grade II to III and IV rapids on Lidder River which flows from Pahalgam is located at Varganpal bridge , Varganpal bridge and langanbal Bridge, 12 km,12 km and 3 Km from Pahalgam and 72 km ,72 km and 88 km from Srinagar respectively.

Zipline

Adventure lovers can indulge in zorbing, ziplining, powered paragliding and river-crossing. The charming Aru village also serves as the base, If you are seeking adventure then you can zipline by the river from a thrilling height.

Golfing

The golf course of Pahalgam is well known because of a multitude of reasons, which include its scenic location, high altitude and an array of facilities Beautiful golf course and natural beauty and cleaning river side excellent views from mountains and pine trees

Camping

Pahalgam Camping in Pahalgām provides accommodations and a garden. The nearest airport is Srinagar Airport, 57 miles from the campground Pahalgam With an ascent of 9,330 ft, Amarnath via Sheshnag has the most elevation gain of all of the camping trails in the area. 

Horse Back Riding

You ride on the horseback 4 to 5 Kms uphill from Pahalgam to reach Baisaran. Along the way, after few hundred meters, the horsemen may start suggesting you to include another two viewpoints viz., Dabyan and Pahalgam Valley, if not taken in the package earlier. They will now come with a discounted package and you start bargaining with them. In the process, just to scare you, they may let the horses guided by single horsemen instead of the agreed terms of one man against one horse

Trekking

Trekking in Pahalgam is a great way to explore short treks to beautiful landscape and high altitude alpine lakes. The Pahalgam-Kolahoi trek through the Aru village and Pahalgam-Chandanwari trekto Sheshnag Lake are the most popular routes.
